i know someone who did it and it turned out real nice. i would do it but i hate being on a schedule when i'm on vaca like if people get you a dinner somewhere. i'm very spur of the moment.

Thats exactly why I wanted to do it. We already live together so we already have everything we need. I guess we could update some stuff.

I don't think its tacky. I think that if you already live together and have a lot of things that most people would register for, then people buying you things might be annoyed that you probably already have what you're asking for. I mean if you can come up with a few things, then you can always do both.
When it comes down to it I think people would rather not waste money. Having a honeymoon registry is def not a waste for the people contributing. They would know that it is going to be used. JMO

Yeah, we have nothing we need so were kind of stumped when people say 'What can we get you?' lol

I wouldnt feel comfortable doing that. With a gift you know what they spent but it doesn't feel like a monetary thing - with people paying for the honeymoon even though their gift is alloted to certain portion of the trip I'd still feel like - thanks for the $100! or whatever. Just my opinion though, I wouldnt knock anyone who did it.

us too.. why is it tacky when a regular registry is not? As MOH, I went to their travel agent (because I knew) myself and paid for a special dinner and they got to pick whatever night they wanted it for. I thought it was a special way to say I was thinking of them (my best friends) and how much I wanted them to have the best time. They agreed.
Edited for example.

Re: Does anyone plan on doing that honeymoon registry?
we are doing it through dawn at crusise one. our isn't an itererary, you just enter and amount and it gets applied to the whole thing...its cool.
2 of my friends did this through liberty and it worked out really well for them.
we already have ahouse so we dont need as much stuff... plus for our engagement party we didnt want to register for stuff...
Re: Does anyone plan on doing that honeymoon registry?
I think it is a great idea for couples that already live together.

Re: Does anyone plan on doing that honeymoon registry?
my family gets grumpy about a lot of things, so i'm not willing to risk the unconventional HM registry. for me, i have plenty we can ask for on a traditional registry, so it's not much of a factor.

I don't think it's tacky at all. I think it's cool.........Hey, instead of bridal registry from a store......Why not help us for our honeymoon?

Re: Does anyone plan on doing that honeymoon registry?
I just went online to Liberty Travel and they allow you to see a sample Honeymoon Registry. I think it is awesome the way it is setup. You list things you would like to do such as couple massages, tours etc... After seeing it does not seem really that tacky at all. It is set up the same like a bridal registry.
