Does anyone REALLY want to be surprised at their shower?
I thought I wanted to be , but now I'm not sure.

i def wanna help plan some of the details.. theme.. colors.. CPs.. things like that.. but i do wanna be left in the dark about the time and place.. then again .. the way its been so hard to get my BMs together just to go 20 minutes to try on dresses.. i think my poor MOH and matron of honor are gonna have a hard time getting all the girls together to help ... which is kind of a crappy feeling.. cause i know when im a BM i jump right in to make it special for the bride.. but who knows...so i'll see as time goes on....

I hate surprises and I totally want to know everything all the time but this is the one thing that I want to be totally surprised about. I hope my mom and sis can pull it off because I am so annoying and figure everything out

yeah I want to be...thats the fun of it...you are not soposed to know what is being planned for you. i am planning the biggest event of my life, I'll let someone else take care of the shower.

That's exactly how I am. My mom and BP are going to try to keep it from me , but I think if I wanted to I could figure it out.
I def DON'T want to be part of the planning!

I soooo don't want it to be a surprise. I'm a total control freak and my mom and MOH know that and they know that I don't care if it's a surprise or not but they're still trying. So we'll see. I just hate not having a say in things and not to sound ungrateful but I just feel like, why can't I have a say in my own party?

Yes because it would've been nice..(i know it's next saturday).....
No - because i'm NOT GOOD at being the center of attention - so i need 20 minutes notice to take the xanax to be okay with it....

YAY for xanax!!!!! lol... i hear what ure saying... it's like u feel if u can better prepare for it that def. helps..
i also wanna make sure i look nice... if they tell me we're gonna paint my girlfriends house(which they did to my cousin years ago..lol.. but my mom said they had a change of clothes for her) or something im def. not gonna do my hair and make up and wont have time to do it once i get there..lmao so although that would def get me... i'd be mad about it too i think..lol

you know what you should do?
you should tell them that the morning of your shower - you want FH to come to your house ( idk if you live together ) to pick you up and he should give you about 2 hours to get beautiful and prepare for it. . . and then he will drive you there
so that way you can get ready at your leisure and you will have enough time to calm down but NOT enough time to freak out about it by thinking too much!

I already know it's next Saturday. Not sure if FH can get the day off....he's TRYING....it's in NY (we live together in jersey)....so if he can't go - i'll be really upset...he's VERY outgoing & personable & can take away a LOT Of attention from me....but his job blows....
Basically - it's going to be i have a therapy appointment the day before - the Friday before at noon - i'll be at the doc. By that point - i'll be on Paxil 2 weeks(results after 4 weeks - but every day is better they say)....& i can take the xanax once I know the 'set up' is happening.... My MOH already called and said we have to have some time together that day...i felt so bad because she has no idea i know...

Although there are definitely negatives to allowing it to be a total surprise I think that is how I want it. If I know about it beforehand I think I'll stress even though it's not my thing to stress about...

i won't be surprised. my sister already asked me when i wanted it. I'm not into showers to begin with and i hate being the center of attention. but i know i'll have one and i know it will be great because we throw great showers in my family!
