It's a Hawaiian-type version of Somewhere over the rainbow

Who sings it?? The title??

i love that version and the story behind the person who sung it was so sad he died so young his whole cd is good

the songs official name is: Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World I think... at least that is what amazon.com says!

Now i want to go buy the cd so I can hear the song again...

Israel Ka`ano`i 'IZ' Kamakawiwo`ole, 38, of Honolulu, Island of O`ahu, died June 26, 1997. He was born in Honolulu, O`ahu, Hawai`i, and was the son of the late Henry Kaleialoha 'Tiny' Kamakawiwo`ole and the late Evangeline Kea`le Kamakawiwo`ole. He was the brother of the late Henry Kaleialoha 'Skippy' Kamakawiwo`ole of the Makaha Sons of Ni`ihau, and the late Evangeline Leinani 'Baby' Kamakawiwo`ole.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Ku`upua Ah Lo Kamakawiwo`ole, and their 14-year old daughter, Ceslianne Wehekealake`alekupuna Ah Lo Kamakawiwo`ole. He is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Lydia Ka`ehukai Kauakahi, wife of Louis 'Moon' Kauakahi.
