Does anyone think I can get the neckline altered on my dress?

Does anyone think I can get the neckline altered on my dress?

I think my main problem with the dress is that I don't like the neckline.

Is it impossible for me to think I can have the seamstress alter it to make it a scoop neckline (if that makes sense?)

Thanks. Please be honest, I am really stressing over this.

ETA: The files are too large I can't upload any of them. Well here's the dress I have bought

Demetrios 4130

and here is what I'd like the neckline to be altered to

Dress but not as square, a bit more rounded.

Ya think it can be done? I'm getting the dress at Macy's Bridal Salon in Manhasset. Thanks

I don't see why not, they alter everything else.

I'm sure they can do it! A good seamstress can do anything!

PS: there's no pics?

There are now, just none of me because the file is not gif or jpg

I'm afraid I'll lose alot of the beading in the process and there's no beading on the bottom hem of the dress, unless they can put more on it?

This is the dress I wanted but was talked out of it by the seamstress who was on the floor that day and my sister. They said I needed soemthign that didn't 'cut' in the middle of my tummy. Not like the one I have now makes a difference!

But here's the neckline, I like this

You'd have to ask a seamstress. They told me I could make a scoop neck into sweethart, but I'm not sure about the other way. They can put a modestly panel in. They suggested that to me, b/c I was havign cleavage issues, but I ended up getting a scoop neck dress.

i had liked a demetrios dress, but the neckline was too low, they told me that they could do whatever i wanted with the neckline, but it would cost more money. they can do whatever you want it just depends on how much you want to spend to have it changed. for me it was hard to visualize what they were going to do, but i ended up finding a perfect dress someplace else. it defintely would be worth asking about though.

I'm sure they can do it, but after they're done, the neckline might be verrrry low. maybe you could add a sheer panel between the sweetheart point to make the neckline more round?

Well I figure that the neckline on the model (and me) as kinda high, I've worn lower before but I also was a a club not a church And that if they just take off the part of the sweetheart that kinda dips up then the lowest part of the neckline will still be the same...if that makes sense?

Good, so glad you guys told me this. I'll have to go and have a chat with the seamstress (she also sold me the dress).

I made this in paint, so it's a little crappy, (and who knows if it can actually be done to the dress) but here's a pic of how the dress would look, just scooping off the sweetheart peaks, down to the point. I don't think the neckline is too low.

You are the best I tried doing that too in paint but it kept screwing up. I'm going to print that out and bring it when I go for my fitting. I don't think it's too low (at least how you have it). Thanks!

That looks great! That should help when you talk to the seamstress.
