I just got a UPS envelope with a check in it... for $2,789. No note... No letter.... NOTHING
Return address...

The check is from a Frost National Bank
and NO I sent no invitations to this person or Colorado.
****UPDATE**** OK I spoke to the bank... after 3 calls to TX I finally got someone to talk to me.... apparently it is a REAL account with funds in it to cover the check... however.... the bank is going to contact the account holder to find out if it is a real check or not (I specifically asked them to do this and have the account holder contact me if it was a real check).

Deposit it ASAP...and cross your fingers.
What was the UPS tracking number? Try to look that up as well.

i would check with your bank. My grandma got one of those checks in the mail and it turned out to be a scam. Once you deposit the check it supposedly bounces so if you spent money you end up racking up tons of fees from the bank and stuff. Ask them if they can verify the check for you.

Hmmm. I would NOT deposit it, honestly. Sounds like a hoax to me. I read somewhere about a hoax in which people send you a check, and when you deposit it, you unknowingly give the sender of the check access to your account. Not sure how it's possible, but I have heard that it happens. Do some research first. That name does NOT sound real to me.

Doing that now the search on the tracking number I called the bank they couldn't give me any info.

Ehhhhh I dont believe anything that is a check these days.. to many scams out there
NONE of this info matches this check on the Link but i am calling the number on the article right now

I see a check with my name on it and I want to run to the bank! I can't see why someone would UPS you something ya know. What did the tracking number come up with?
It probably is a scam...I just wish people wouldn't play around with money and checks like that.
