I used to go there but when I decided it was time to ttc I switched to a smaller practice ebcause I wanted to know what doctor would be delivering my baby.

I used them when I had Emily. I thought they were great. I went to the Patchogue office and Port Jeff. I have a family member that is a nurse there and she likes the drs. a lot. It's funny though I tried to make sure I saw all the drs while I was pregnant. I saw everyone at least once. When I went to deliver my daughter, the dr. on call I never saw her. She was the only one I hadn't seen. She was very nice and calming. I have some medical issues and I have to say she was very thorough.

I used them too but I also felt the practice was too big. Here's my 2 cents:

When I first went in there they suggested that I rotate between the Dr's because you never know who will deliver your baby. Well the way I saw it was that if I rotated between 10 Dr's I wouldnt know the Dr delivering my baby ANYWAY. But in the beginning I did not see it this way. I would suggest that maybe you find ONE doctor you like and stick to them for all your visits. I would have very much preferred that my 42 weeks of pregnancy was tended to by the SAME Dr instead of every time I went in there I saw a different Dr. ALSO, try to schedule your appointments AHEAD of time. Towards the end of the pregnancy I had to go back weekly and none of the 'good' Drs were available!! I picked up on this quickly and started making them with the Dr's I preferred, 2 and 3 weeks in advance. It was either that or I was to be stuck with the 'new nurse practioner' at 41 weeks pregnant!!

Feel free to FM me if you have any other questions.

PS - St. Charles is a GREAT hospital to deliver at! They were WONDERFUL for my 4-day stay there!
