Does anyone wish

That receptions lasted longer than the standard 5 hours,personally i think they should be a little longer especially all the $$$$ we are paying?

yah, and I could take a nap in between. Dragging the dress around makes you tired

I think 5 hours is long enough for the reception. I'm having a daytime wedding, so I will probably have a small after party with close friends and family.

A friends brother is getting married next year, and is a friend of the owner of the reception hall they booked. The guy threw 2 hours onto the wedding for them. So 1 1/2 hour cocktail...5 1/2 hour reception!! Can you imagine the overtime costs for the band?

I think that's too much...5 hours gets the job done!

my recep. is only 4 w/an hour ****tail hr and 1hr pre ****tail piano bar.
I would love to do the viennese (sp?) hr. but, I feel like most people won't stay till 1230/1 on a Sunday night. =( What do you guys think?

In some ways I wished our reception was longer (5 hours with cocktail hour) - I didn't want the day to end. But in all honesty by the time the party ended I was ready to be alone with my new hubby.

I think I do, especially mine, BUT if we go out afterwards with close friends that would be even better!

I don't need to spend any more than 5 hours with the in-laws.

THough I do agree that for the amount of money we're paying, it would be nice to have more time. Maybe a longer cocktail hour.
