I kind of like the idea of having a large table with our bridal party and their dates - not a dais. Either one large round table or rectangluar, but positioned so that we can all see/talk to each other. Has anyone done this?

I don't think you're crazy for wanting to sit w/your bridal party and their guests.
At our wedding, we sat at a sweetheart table, and spent about 15 minutes in total sitting down, and that was to eat. Before and after that - we were up greeting our guests, dancing, etc....
The only 'reason' that we didn't seat our BP together, is that I wanted to spread them out among other guests they knew attending the wedding.

I was a MOH two years ago for my best friend's wedding and talked her out of a BP table because I really wanted to sit with my family and friends. I didn't know alot of the other BMs/GMs really well and had ALOT more fun sitting with my peepz. It worked out well.

I did not do a sweet heart table-- I personally do not like them. We did not do a dias either-- we just sat at a round table with our closest friends-- other tables around us had bridal party mixed with other people, etc.
