Does everything have to match in terms of colors, etc? For example, my bridesmaids dresses are black and pink….and I just started looking at invitations, and same a cream colored invite with merlot writing that I liked. I don’t think it would like quite as good in black and pink. What do you girls think?

I don't think everything has to match. Not all of my colors are matching to each other, but rather the THEME. The 'theme' is 'Summer/Sunflowers' so I am pretty much going on the whim if it fits into that theme then it goes with the wedding.

After struggling with my star invitations (to go with my theme) I've decided to say forget it and just narrow down the million invitations that I loved (no stars). No, not everything has to match lol

I am going to say yes. I think the invites should go with the colors of the wedding. It will tie everything together. I mean people really won't notice but I think it is a nice touch. Jean M makes the cutest black and pink invites. Here is a picture.

me too, my dresses, tuxes, invites are all blue and black. But if you fall in love with something, go for it.

And I think pink is black is the cutest ever! If I was not doing black and red I would have went with pink and black. Good luck on your search!

It's a nice touch, but definitely not necessary. If you find something you love that matches, then great, but don't waste your time if you find something you LOVE that doesn't match. Good Luck!
