Okay so after the guy at the tux place was a total a hole, I need to know what the deal is with tux's...does the groom get a completely different tux than the gm?

It's up to you, but I think most grooms wear the same tux style as the GM but with a different vest/tie color to make them stand out. My FH is wearing a white vest/tie and the GM (and our dads) will be in black

I just went tux shopping with FH today. The GM will be getting the same tux as fh but the color of their vests and ties will be different. Both will be in the same color family but FH will have a lighter colored version.

DH's tux was different - he bought his and he didn't want to have the same thing as the GMs. Do what you want - there are no set rules!

The guys are all wearing the same tux. but FH is wearing black tie, and GM are wearing color to match girls.

i left it up to FH on what he wanted. he decided that he wants to wear the sme as the guys right down to everything. he is getting a different bout though. for the dad we are getting them a charcoal type color and the guys are all wearing turquoise

Mine got one just a ittle nicer, plus he has an ivory tie and vest. I think the tie an vest are traditional. My groomsman are having striped ties and slightly different tuxes. This was all at the suggestion of Ben at Tuxedo Park in Carle Place and we loved his ideas and went with them!
