Re: Does it matter
There are ivory FG dresses out there. My gown was ivory (actually a bit darker) and my FG's dress was ivory. It was by US Angels. Here's the Link

same reason to bring a swatch of your dress to the tux store so you dont get your FH a stark white shirt (if your dress is ivory, it would look better if he were in an ivory shirt too)

Re: Does it matter
There are definitely ivory dresses out there--the company where mine is coming from makes them: www.pegeen.com Or, you could do what I'm doing--I'm wearing an ivory gown--and have a colored dress. My flower girl will be in Pegeen's 'buttercream,' which is a very pale yellow, with a navy sash. The other bridesmaids are in navy with pale yellow accents. I love my ivory gown, but it is a pain trying to get stuff to match. So I'm not. Yellow flower girl dress and I'm going to wear blue shoes, I think. My only other issue will be the veil, I have to figure out what I'm doing with that. Might leave it off altogther, I'm a bit old for a veil.

Re: Does it matter
Funny you post this . Yesterday i went to order my flower girl dress and they ask me if I want it in white or diamond white. The white is a stark white and the diamond white is off white but not ivory. Anyway I didnt think i was going to have to make a decision like this and thought i was just going to go in and order a white dress. Long story short. (lol) they ask me what color my dress is and i tell them white but its pure silk. They tell me that i should get the diamond white becuase it will match my dress better. So i went with the diamond white. Therefore in my opinion you should get the flower girl dress in ivory to match you.
PS. If you go to www.jordanfashions.com you will find flowergirl dresses by Sweet Beginnings. Alot of them come in ivory-just read the descriptions. If you read the color swatches their 'Pearl' is ivoryish.

I would try your best to get them closer in color to each other. I would attempt to get and ivory FG dress if your dress is ivory

As for a veil- you may be able to get one in diamond white (ivory). That's what I did w/ my ivory dress.

Re: Does it matter
my dress was ivory and FG was white... I never stood next to her in the photos, maybe that's why I never realized it till now. My dress looked fine, but like I said, we never stood together.
