I am an NYU student but I might transfer and get certified at Hunter or Stony Brook. Will it make a difference?

I am from SUNY Old Westbury. The only difference it made for my teaching is some of the other Student teachers that I started with go to ST. Johns and they couldn't talk to me. No one official has had any problems with it! Its all what you do and whose butt you kiss !

I got my masters at NYU and I don't think it matters where you went to school at all.

It doesn't matter in the sense of education...but I do know that my resume was pulled for 2 schools I worked for b/c the person looking at them went to the same school...

Not at all I spent thousands of dollars at a private school and now have enormous loans to pay back! I am now going to a CUNY school for my Master's degree and am getting a MUCH better education.

Hi Erica! Where did you go to school?

Bobsbride - that's insane that the other student teachers can't talk to you! That kind of BS is what makes me leary of the whole profession
