In plus size samples. I heard lillettes was the place to go for plus size girls. what size are their samples in if this is true? Thanks girls!!! Im particularly interested in jim hjelm.
I don't remember trying any of his on there, but it would probably be best to call directly. I ended up with an Alvina Valenta (part of the same group as Jim Hjelm), and got mine at Wedding Salon of Manhasset. Even though they did not have bigger sizes, I managed okay. One thing to keep in mind: The people at Wedding Salon of Manhasset really seemed to know each individual designer and how dresses can be ordered. FOr instance, they told me that Jim Hjelm will NOT open skirts fuller. They knew, though, that my designer can cut a dress with D-size cups so I didn't have to get a bigger size just to accommodate the 'girls'. Long story short - give Wedding Salon of Manhasset a try. Even if the samples don't fully fit, their knowledge will blow you away there, and you will ultimately end up with the right dress cut the right way for you!
I dont know if Lillettes has Jim Hjelm but most of there dresses were size 14. I know that they did have alot of plus sizes because a girl I was in ther e with was trying them on and they were really nice.

Lillettes does not carry Jim Hjelm. I got my dress from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and the woman told me they are one of the only stores that carry them along with a few in CT and CA. Lillette's is located now in Bellmore town.
