for different things indicate that you are 'materialistic'????????????????

no...it means that you're indecisive...LOL

I'm just kidding.

Nothing wrong with registering at three stores - gives the guests more options and allows them to go to a store that may be closer, or they have coupons for, or more comfy going to.

no, it says that you like things at different stores and want to give people a choice of where to go instead of limiting them to one place.

I think it shows you are giving people more possible options (I'm registered at 3 stores as well).

Not at all. But I will offer to you some free advice based on my own current situation. I registered at 3 places bc my FH family is all over the place. Crate and Barell for Eveyday stuff, Macy's for bedding, towels appliciances and pots and stuff, and fortunoff, for all of my formal stuff, and vases, etc. Had I gone to Macy's first I would have never registered at Fortunoff. They have EVERYTHING on one floor, making life easier for your guests. My shower was last month and the result? Macy's was the most purchased, followed by C&B. Only 2 things were taken off my fortunoff. I think its bc in the end we registered for too much stuff having not the chance (or adreniline) to do it all in one day. Go for 2 if you can try.

We registered at 2. One store didn't have the items the other one did...that was the only reason.

I totally second this!!! I've also registered at the same three stores and given the chance to do again, would have done Macys and C&B only. Once again, mom was right. Macy's is most available to everyone locally and out of town. Outside of NY/NJ Fortunoff is not known and C&B is a bit too 'unpopular' with some of the more traditional family members. But to answer your original question....no 3 stores does not seem materialistic. It offers options for your guest.

I did 3 also - 2 for me and Home Depot for FH!! My mom said 'do you REALLY think anyone's going to buy you a power washer?' I said 'when YOU tell them I REALLY want it they might!!'

I registered at 4 places....so 3 isnt so bad to me!

I registered at Fortunoffs, Bed Bath & Beyond, Macys & Crate & Barrell.

85% of our gifts were purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond. People LOVE that store.

i hope not because I'm registered at three!

Re: Does registering at three different stores

Yeah right! I registered at 4, simply because each store had different 'parts' of sets, like our bedding, that other stores didn't offer.

No. Not at all.

But it spreads things out. When my former best friend got married in 2003 she registered in 3 stores and she got NOTHING from one of them (the one she registered for her bedding from).

I only registered at 2, Macy's and BB&B, and I got shower gifts from BB&B and wedding gifts (the few that I got) from Macy's.
