Does the Bride make a speech??
Someone told me this the other day... Is it true? I honestly can't remember any bride making a speech at any of the weddings I've been to....

I've never seen or heard of it being done....
I went to one wedding where the Bride and Groom made a speech together thanking everyone for coming.
I never been to a wedding where the bride made a speech, but if you want to....go for it!
I plan on making a speech at the wedding, and FI will make a speech at the RD. I'm a lot better with larger crowds than he is.
I know I want to make one!
I dont think its too common. Ive only seen it done twice where both the bride and groom thanked the guests. I didnt make one at mine and neither did DH.
The only speech I'm planning to make is at the rehearsal dinner.
Okay, so if you have a speech at the reception, when is it?? I'm assuming the end??
I've seen only one couple make a speech and it was such a sweet moment that we might as well. It was right before dinner where the groom and bride stood up and thanked everyone for coming, thanked their parents and families, and then someone clinked a glass and they used the opportunity for the groom to joke that every time someone clinks a glass they don't realize that the bride then has to reapply lipstick after the kiss. It was great!
