Does the color font on your invites match the color font on your directional cards?

My invitations are being printed up with copper font on Stardream Opal cardstock. Since I spent so much on my invitations, I really want to try to cut costs on the direction cards.

Do you think it would look bad if I put my directions on ivory paper (similar to resume paper) and in black font and then cut them down to size? I figure I can do this myself in Word.

Or, do you think I should have my invitation lady do them for .70 each on ivory cardstock and copper print? I need about 140 directional cards so the cost would be about $100. I know I can do them myself for much cheaper than that.

I just want to know if you think the black font on the directional card would look bad against the copper font on the invites.

TIA....

Honestly, DIY.
No one is going to recoil in horror that you used different color printing on the directional cards.

Use the money towards something else people will notice, your hair, make-up, flowers.

I think most people think that the direction cards are supplied by the rh-- so I don't think it will look bad if you use the black ink.

No - We printed our own direction cards b/c we didn't like the way the ones we were given looked. We wanted them on card stock.

We used the same logos, etc., though, so we couldn't make them navy. The ink for the invites is navy. It doesn't bother me, and I honestly think it makes the invite / reception card / response card stand out.
