Does the flower girl dress have to be white?

I went to look at tuxes yesterday and the sales girl mentioned that most flowergirls wear white like the bride.

Not at all! Yes, a lot do! But I didn't agree with that - I was the bride and I wanted to be the only one in white. My FH wore pastel pink to compliment the BM's who were in lavendar.

Certainly not! I want to be the only one in white at my wedding. I'm gonna put my FG in a cute lilac dress. She'll match the BMs. I don't really like the look of the FG in white to be honest but that's JMO.

My nieces dress was ivory with flowers. I'm actually not a big fan of little girls in an all white dress.

Not at all. They can be whatever color you like! You can be creative. It's your day!
