Does the lip plumping stuff work for you?

Does the lip plumping stuff work for you?

Are my lips broken or something?
I went to Sephora and tried 3 different brands on different days. I even tried the $40 one and nothing. It burns a little and turns my lips red, but no plumping.

Unfortunately, that what they are supposed to do. The burning sensation is the ingredient that makes the blood rush to your lips, essentially plumping them. I've always found using a lipliner one shade darker than your lipstick gives the effect of fuller lips.

Maybe its my high expectations of my lips magically turning into Angelina Jolie.

I nearly spit out my coffee. If you want those kind of lips, just punch yourself on the lips a couple of times!!!

Ouch...sounds Painful. I don't really think those products work. Maybe I'm just skeptical.

you could also just try to get stunbg by a bumblebee!

i think that's the effect these products are going for...or find something you're alergic to and eat a lot of it, taking specialc are to rub it on your lips!

This sounds painful... I think I'd rather have thin lips!!!

I went to the fancy schmancy Bendel's beauty breakfast a few years ago and the consultant for Benefit put Lip Venom on my lips without explaining it to me, and OMG I practically SCREAMED! It stung SO BAD. I will never ever, ever put that stuff to my lips again. I swear it stung like h-e-l-l for like a day!

DO NOT put it on your lips when they are chapped!!!
Oh and to answer the question- it did not work and did nothing but cause me pain

The thing is, it didnt burn to the point of even saying ouch. More like if you have chapped lips and put Blistex on. Maybe I have un-plumpable lips?

Do you take any antihistaminesr anti inflammatories?

I'm not sure how they work, but I think they must either use someting that causes an allergic type histamine reaction, or some other form of inflammation. If you're taking antihistamines or anti inflammatories, this may keep it from swelling.

Nope. I have no allergies to anything at all and on no meds.

I guess you just have unplumpable lips! or very un-sensitive skin If I use the wrong brand of lip balm my lips will be bright red for 3 days...

i think 'lip Venom' actually works - my sister is obsessed with it. Could be psychological though...

My MIL bought one for me and it burns so bad. I don't like it. I'd rather stick w/ my non-plump lips.

I got something at Victoria's Secret a while ago, and I thought it really worked. It is like a neurtral cream base lipstick....I don't have it w/ me, I don't know the name, but I like it.

I think I may be the only one who sees nothing attractive in Angelina Jolie.
