I have no idea! I wouldn't think so but I am not really sure.

I don't think they get paid separately. Unless other churches have different rules

I dont think you have to pay him seperately. If you want maybe you can give him a small gift of appreciation

I always assumed he gets paid from the church donation and I know they are not allowed to accept tips.

if you are getting married in a church then the church donation covers his cost as well.

just an FYI - etiquettte demands that the priest/officiant is always invited to the RH to celebrate even though they almost always refuse.

yes, of course he is invited. And he might actually come.

I just don't know about how he gets paid since he is no longer with the church in which we're getting married. He is a Msgr and was pastor of FH's church fr years which is why FH wants to use him, but he's since been transferred and has agreed to come do our ceremony and FH keeps sayin 'We have to pay Msgr, but I don't know how much' and I'm like... ummm... we're 'donating' to the church! Shouldn't he just be coming to do it because he wants to?

I do not think so. I think that what ever you pay the church covers it all, but I would double check!
