Does this match??

We bought the GM ties as a part of their gift in order to incorporate a little purple, I thought the ties were black with small purple pin stripes but it turns out they are dark grey with black and purple pin stripes. Now I'm not sure how that will look with a black tux and I'm not really getting a straight answer from anyone because I think no one wants to upset me, but if they don't it's no biggie cause I can easily return them (they're from Kohls)

from the picture it looks as though they will still match... are you doing a white shirt???? it's hard to tell from a picture.. and it may also be hard to tell from just looking at the tie.. maybe go to a tux place and bring it.... and put it up against a tux you and FH may be interested in?

it may match. i was looking at a similar tie in FH's tie drawer and puit up to a black suit- darker tie may work better as i am looking it

I would take them back, although I dont think the color would be totally off if your not totally sold on it they take them back and get something your really happy with.

I like them and think they are really different. I think they will match from the picture but I would out them together with the tie and shirts yu want just to make sure.

I'd take one of your FH's black suits and a white shirt out of the closet, and lay the tie on the shirt to get a better idea of how it will look together.

You'll be able to get a basic idea, even though its a suit and not a tuxedo.

Im like you I want a little dark red stripe incorporated in the ties. So if you feel like it wont bug you then go for it. Put it up against a black suit just to see. Also, go online keep looking before returning. If you find something else then great! If you like how this one looks then keep them!

It should be fine, but can't really tell since it's not up against a shirt or with the suit you will be wearing. Bring it into a store and ask the sales associates if it works.
