Is $1,899 a lot for video (includes 3 DVDs & a raw footage one)? Also is $4,075 a lot for a magazine style photo album (includes 3 albums only one is magazine style the rest is traditional, 1 - 11 x 14, 2 - 8 x10, 5 - 5 x 7, 100 Thank You Notes? I'm just not sure if this is a good deal or not. Kind of on a budget. Do you look I could find better prices elsewhere for the same stuff?

for your $4075, that includes the actual photography right??? [not just albums..] If so, I think that is a pretty good price.

we are paying $1500 for video.... including 3 edited DVDs and 1 dvd of the raw footage.

how long is the video coverage for? some video coverage is only until the cake cutting and then they leave...while others stay until the end. the price doesn't seem that bad really for the video.

as for the photography...that's a tough one...it depends on the photographer....cause i've seen photogs on these boards charge less for the same thing---BUT they are lesser known....while i've seen others charge more.

who did you get the quotes from?

It's from Right Angle Studios. His work is amazing. I've never seen pictures like his before.

in our package, we are getting 1 11x11 storybook album with 100 photos plus a mini book (exact minature replica of album) for us... and 2 parent albums that are 5x7 traditional OR storybook style with 30 photos each, 100 thank yous (4x6 size), 1 16x20, 3 8x10s, 2 5x7s, and the above mentioned... [proofs on cd, negatives, minimum of 500 photos, 2 photographers, and engagement session with proofs on CD] for a similar price.

in our package, we are getting 1 11x11 storybook album with 100 photos plus a mini book (exact minature replica of album) for us... and 2 parent albums that are 5x7 traditional OR storybook style with 30 photos each, 100 thank yous (4x6 size), 1 16x20, 3 8x10s, 2 5x7s, and the above mentioned... No doesn't include an engagement session. I could end up with 1,200 proofs he said there is no max.

Right Angle Studios is a GREAT place....beautiful photography!


ETA: why not go back and let them know you LOVE their work, but you're on a budget and wish they could either a) come down in price or b) give you a little more or c) both!

i found that letting a vendor know how much i want to book with them, but that my wallet is hurting...helped in the negotiations.

but what is the MINIMUM number you could end up with.... you might not be happy if you only get 300 proofs, for example.

I believe he said the minimum was like 600

If they do amazing work and you know that you will be happy looking at them for the rest of your life, go with them!!!

I can pick as many pictures as I want in the album & yes it does include editing.

I can pick as many pictures as I want in the album & yes it does include editing.




well then if you really want them go for it ...


ETA: if you are i would def. go back and try to negoiate more for your money; or have them lower the price that what i'm doing!!!

that seems about right...depends on the quality of the photos but if you like them I would say that's around average...
