So I am planning my bachelorette party and we are going wine tasting in 2 months and then dinner and having a sleepover. I have a best friend from high school who now lives in Chicago. We lost touch for many years but reconnected recently and it's amazind and I'm so happy. I even visited her in Chicago recently! I really really want her at my bach party. She's in grad school full time so I know money is tight. She let FH stay with her the entire weekend in Chicago even in her own bedroom while she slept on the couch!(we had planned on staying at a hotel) and toured us around...basically saved us a ton of money. I kind of want to return the favor and if money is tight for her to come to the bachelorette party- would it be crazy to offer to pay for a ticket for her to come?? I mean she had already been planning on coming home for my wedding which I'm so excited about. It would mean so much to me and I would love to extend the offer. What do you girls think? Is it too over the top? Or do you think it would be a nice gesture? I kind of want to ask her soon so she can plan accordingly. TIA!!

I think its very very sweet and if you have the money to do it then you should. I have a BM in florida that can't afford to come to my bach party but if i had the extra money I would totally fly her here for it

I think it is a nice gesture. If you can afford to pay, I totally think you should offer!!! But if she declines, don't push it. She may feel uncomfortable with taking up your offer.

I think that is really sweet... you can get some really amazing deals on priceline and sites like that... if you have the extra money do it! Just make sure that she can come first

Aww thanks. Yea I think I'm going to bring it up this week so I can start looking at flights. I really hope she can come now!

Plane ticket prices are dropping all the time. I think you should do it--you can easily get her here and back to Chicago under $200, maybe even under $150!!! I think that's a very kind gesture!!!

I'm flying in my FSIL for my ladies lunch & bachelorette party in a few weeks and I'm so excited about it. I just got r/t from greensboro for $154 total with taxes.
It'll mean so much to you to have her there -- it's not crazy, it's wonderful!

I don't think it is crazy -- if you can afford then offer it to her.
Just keep in mind she still may say no since it will still cost money for the activities.
But if she does say yes -- check out flights on SouthWest into Islip!
