Does this timeline sound ok? I am so nervous

I am starting to worry we won't have enough time for pictures. My ceremony is at 3pm in West Hempstead and we are not having a mass. Then our cocktail hour starts at 7pm in St. James. On a Friday. Do you think this is enough time in between. We are going to hit so much traffic. I really don't want to move the church up because then no one will come at all Does this sound to tight of a schedule. I am so nervous Thanks for letting me stress out on here

If you get out of the church in 2 hours, that gives you 2 hours to get out there. If you want to take pictures before the guests get there, you may want to think about 2pm church.

We are opting to put more time between the 2 so we can have pictures done and out of the way to get to the cocktail hour.

I think that's plenty of time! Our ceremony is at 5 and cocktail hour is at 7:30, so we're figuring an hour for pictures in between and a half-hour driving time. You don't have to do all your pictures in between... my plan is to do the bridal party/groom's party pics before the ceremony.

I too am having a later wedding ceremony starting at 3 30pm. (Not the full mass ) & a cocktail hr starting at 7. Although, a friend at work says I should keep the ceremony for 3pm. I still think...3 30pm / 7pm is enough time . My church is 1 hour drive from the recept.

Allison I think it is plenty of time. I think the traffic won't be too bad - it would be worse in the summer, with people going out east for the weekend. Plus, aren't you planning on taking pics during the cocktail hour? Then you definitely don't have anything to worry about. It's gonna be great!

Are you getting married at St. Thomas? If so, that is my church, too!

I am having a similar dillema. My ceremony is at 2:30 and the cocktail hr is 7:30. Since it is November, the sun goes down so early. I never thought about the fact that we WONT be able to take pictures at the Watermill since by the time we get there it will be dark! I am a little bummed!

We are getting married at St. Thomas. I think you have plenty of time with a ceremony of 2:30. There is some room outside of the church to take pics before it get's dark. I already checked it out. We will do some there and then go straight to Flowerfield. I want to take a lot of pics inside before the guests come.
