Does Vitamin C 1000mg help to fend off sickness?

My wedding is on Saturday and I swear I feel like everyone around me is sick. Everyone has a cold. I cannot be sick for this - spent a year and half planning and saving etc - I will be miserable. So I am thinking positive thoughts and taking a daily vitamin and 1000mg vitamin C. Any advice?

I would suggest Ecchinacea. I know I didn't spell it right, but it's an herb that I use when I think I'm getting a cold. It's supposed to boost your immune system.
SOme people take it every day, I don't, just when I get that feeling in the back of my throat that means a cold is coming. I think it lessens the severity of it. When the cold comes I use Cold Eeze lozenges.

ETA: I take a multi & extra C every day, among other vitamins like calcium & B complex. But too much of anythign isn't good. Don't take more than teh bottle recommends!

call up your docor he might be able to tell you something...

i know if somepeople think they have a cold coming on they take ' Zycam'... its a nasal gel

1000 mg is a lot - I'd take a smaller dosage in addition to the multivitamin, You can also try Echinacea - that's said to ward off colds too

so that's why my stomach is messed up I had the WORST pains yesterday

Yup, it ****s! You don't get a cold but your stomach kills!

Your best bet is just try not to worry and also wash your hands alot and don't touch anywhere near your nose or mouth.
Hopefully they don't really have colds and it is just allergies and you can't catch allergies!
