Does your baby sleep through the night?

Does your baby sleep through the night?

Just curious.... ds is 7 months old, and he only slept through the night for 1 week. Then last week he started waking up quite a bit again. It may be due to teething, I'm not sure. He used to wake up crying but would go back to sleep easily with a pat on the back and the pacifier, now he picks his head up and screams.

Just wondering what the other babies sleeping is like. Thanks.

Cassidy is 4 1/2 months old, and she sleeps from 8:30 or 9:00 to about 6 or 7 am.

She takes 2 naps, anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours.

Anglea has been sleeping 12 hours through the night from 3 mos - 8 months....right up until she learned how to sit and stand up on her own. Now, when she wakes in the middle of the night instead of just sucking her thumb and whining a little, she stands up and yells....and does not lie back down. It's been a long two weeks!

HAAAHAAHAAHA!
Sorry - just had to let that out.
Cole doesn't sleep more than 3 hours - day or night. Actually, he really doesn't sleep more than 8-9 hours total. He's only 3 months though, so hopefully that will change.

Kevin just started close to 7 straight hours last week (12 weeks) - so hopefully it sticks. He does 11ish to 5:30/6ish...more than I slept pre-preggo days so we are very happy. He has done it about 5 or 6 days now - only one day he went back to to 4am. He wouldn't do more than 4-4.5 for a long time and then all of a sudden a few days of 6 hours and then 7 - all in the last 2 weeks or so.

Jake will be 6 months on May 15th and sleeps from about 8-8:30 until 6-7:00 AM. Last night he actually was waking up every hour, but I just had to give him his pacificer to get him back to sleep. I still cannot figure out why he kept waking up. He also take about 3-4 napds during the day that last about 40 minutes each.

Nick is 7 months and sleeps from 8 - 8:30 until 6-7. Sometimes he will make noises when he cannot find his paci, and I will get up and stick it in his mouth. But sometimes he is able to find it on his own and does not wake me up! He has been sleeping through since 3 1/2 months. There have been about 5-10 times since then where he has actually woken up crying and needed to be rocked back to sleep - for unknown reasons.

Michael is almost 5mos old and started sleeping through the night around 2.5 months. He goes to bed 8-830 and wakes about 8-830 - there are some off nights, but this is the usual!

I try not to say it too much, I don't want to jinx myself!

My son started sleeping through the night at exactly 12 weeks. ( Usually an 8 hour sleep)

My nephew on the other hand... didn't start sleeping through the night until he was 2.

Jack started sleeping through the night at about 4 months. Now, at 6 1/2 months he sleeps from 7:30pm-6:30am. He usually takes a nap in the early morning (like he wakes up to eat, plays for an hour and is back down for a while), and another nap in the afternoon. He isn't a long napper, so he is exhausted and ready for bed at 7:30.

I am very lucky... Andrew has been sleeping 12 hour nights since about 3 months old when we moved him to his crib in his room! No one is complaining in my house!

Kiera is 6 1/2 months old and she's been sleeping through the night since she was a month old. At first it was 7-8 hours now it's between 10-12 hours a night. She sometimes wakes up but if we go in and put our hand on her stomach she falls back asleep within 2 minutes.

Andrew is 13 weeks old and hasn't slept through the night. But he has gone about 5-5 1/2 hours at a clip from 8 or 9 until 1ish. He wakes up for 2 feedings in the middle of the night. Usually around 1 and 4.

He is not a napper, but usually manages to sleep for about 1 hour during the day.

I have a question...for those of you who have 2/3 months old that are sleeping for 7/8 hours...how has that altered your childs feeding schedule?
How many times do they eat during the day? Do you think they eat less times, but more at each feeding??

Re: Does your baby sleep through the night?

When Kiera started sleeping through the night she was eating just about every 2-3 hours, sometimes even with 4 hour breaks. We never fed her before 1 and a 1/2 hours. If I remember correctly her schedule when she was about a month old was eat at 6:30 a.m. Then 9:00, 12:00, 3:00, 7:00 and 10:00. Of course that would change occasionally but that's an idea of what we were doing. At a month old I was breastfeeding her with a bottle from time to time. If I had to guess I would say she was getting anywhere between 3-5 ounces at a feeding.

Emily started sleeping through the night at four weeks old (6-7 hrs.). She's almost nine months now and she'll go to sleep around 8 pm and sleep until 6am. If she gets up it's usually for a belly rub or for her blanket. She'll fall back to sleep after about two minutes or so. We have had nights when she will get up every hour crying, but she's still sleep. That has happened about three or four times. She also gives me two naps during the day. She is a good sleeper. I can't complain.

Anthony has been sleeping threw the night since he is about 4 months old (knock on wood!). i put him in between 6-8 depends on the day he has had and he sleeps till 6-7am. Occasionaly he will get up in the middle of the night. i can hear him 'grunting on the monitor. but he usually goes right back. we have been really lucky with that.

Wow, I'm jealous of you all! Hopefully someday soon he will decide to sleep thru the night like he did for a week straight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
