Doesn't it suck when...

Doesn't it suck when...

You get an item off your registry that was SO something you could've totally lived without?

FH and I received a garment steamer the other day.

Don't get me wrong, its Rowenta, which is the best brand out there for garment steamers, but it was totally one of those gifts that if no one got it for us, we wouldn't have been too upset lol.

I keep telling myself that it's definitely a top of the line item that we will certainly use, and one that we would've never purchased for ourselves, soooo, its nice to have it on someone else's dollar!

l LOVE my Rowenta steamer. I don't even iron anymore. Just steam.

Honestly, you will use it more than some crazy kitchen accessory!

Yea, I'm sure we will get some great use out of it. My mom recommended putting it on there, and it was one of her friends that bought it (wonder if she had something to do with that hahaha)

But, you know when it just isnt one of the things that woulda made you SUPER excited....

Like I said, I'm glad we got it and werent the ones that had to pay for it!

I know. All I wanted was my Calphalon griddle because I make egg sandwiches all the time on the weekends

And out of all the gifts that were purchased for the Shower, I am missing like 6 things off of my Macy's Registry

One is the griddle.

Why does no one want me to have nicely cooked eggs???!

our registry gifts were wonderfully gererous, but we need money moreso to buy a house. I just had my shower and my gifts are all still sitting in the living room. However it was insulting to ask for money according to parents and elders. I could see that...but it's what we really need...not loads of stuff. And we have to respect that because our parents are helping us.

Ahhhhh that's exactly how I feel about the Kitchenaid Mixer!!

I am DYING for that baby!!! I got it on there in Empire Red (LOVE IT in that color!) and it has yet to go!

I mean, granted it is $269 and there's still over a month until my shower but stilllllll.....I WANT IT!!!!!!

I totally hinted to my mom today to have her ridiculously wealthy friend buy it

FYI- we got the Cuisinart griddler (From FBIL and his GF) and I'm VERY excited about it! I would say that if no one buys it, get it for yourself with the 10% off!

Ah. I might just get the griddle myself later!

I like the griddler, but we are also short on space in NYC....so I think I have to just stick with the griddle pan for now
