I know some place that lost a dog just thsi last friday. I know little about the dog expect it ran away from the groomers. It was supposed to be a 10 pound dog. I forget the type, is the dog you have small? I can call my friend & ask her about the dog lost it may be it!

is it a german shepherd mix young female? i posted earlier there are signs all over my neighborhood for that girl....

Please call the local shelters and tell them about the dog you found. That is where most owners will go and look first for the dog. A dog can travel very far quickly and that is very often the first places an owner will call. That may not be there police precinct and they may never think to call each one.

We called the Town of Hempstead and the Town of Oysterbay shelters last night and gave them our info.

We are pet owners, so we left the info with anyone we thought we might call if we lost one of our dogs.

we also put fliers up everywhere

We left messages at all the shelters and vets within a 10 mile radius last night.

FMIL called the shelters back today and someone had JUST called about her. (it was OUR shelter, which would have been the first place I called, but that's just me)

they came and got her a few minutes later.

She is such a cutie! I'm so glad the owners found her even though I know you will miss her. I am the same way you are...DH and I have stopped to help so many animals, I've lost count!

I am very happy the owners found her. I'd be a wreck if i ever lost one of my babies. if i miss her after only knowing her for a day, they must have been heart broken.
