anyone know of a dog park where you can take your dog off leash in the suffolk area around stony brook, setauket, centereach, port jeff area?

This is alittle far but Wildwood State Park in Wading River has dog paths.

Hecksher State Park also allows dogs, but I'm not sure if they have to be on leash or not. Coindre Hall is a little closer to nassau, but they allow dogs off leash there as well.

theres one in huntington i think.
i used to drive to the city to bring lukin to the dog park when i lived on LI. i dont know how (or why!) i did that!

Jessica, which dog park in the city did you go to? DH's sister lives right by Union Square and, for years, I have loved watching the dogs play there. We are thinking of bringing Satchmo in to it.

oh there are sooo many! Theres one in Union Square Park!!! Also, theres two at Washington Square Park. And another 2 at Tompkins Square Park.
I usually only go to Tompkins or Washington Sq. b/c Union Sq uses tiny pebbles and since i have small dogs they dont like walking on the pebbles. But otherwise its fine!!!
