Anyone ever have this problem? How can I be sure all traces of it are gone?

Re: Dog Pee On The Couch
You could buy a leather couch. It cleans up better.

Re: Dog Pee On The Couch
I have cat pee issues on the carpet and I use Capture (Home Depot) it's a powder that you put on and it absorbs the pee and odor. You vaccuum after 30 minutes. Its not perfect but it's the best thing I have found.

I use Nature's Miracle for when my elderly kitty pees on the couch. They have it at PetCo.

Re: Dog Pee On The Couch
We used Natures Miracle (I'm pretty sure that was it) when we moved into our house and realized that one corner of one closet reeked. How did we not notice before you ask? I have no idea. But, anyway, we put the stuff on and they say to saturate it. I was completly sure this was a bad idea b/c it just sat there and I expected a mold buildup, but after a couple of days (weeks maybe) the smell was completely gone.

I used to use a wet vac on carpets that were peed on - it'd suck up the grossness. Might work on a couch too.

Oh, and if this is a regular problem, there are sprays you can buy for your furniture to keep cats from peeing and scratching, so I'm sure they have something like that for dogs too (I use Feliway? for my cat - it uses pheromones).

Nature's miracle. They have cat and dog formulas, and it works really well.

I have so much Nature's miracle in the house and it didn't work on the cat pee at all.

Then I would try Simple Solutions and keep the receipt. If it doesn't work, remember that Petco takes anything back.

I did, and returned it. The Capture is the only thing that works somewhat.

Re: Dog Pee On The Couch
Ok I have that problem as finally my puppy is potty trained, well he is almost 2 now, heehee..
First off all of those sprays Natures miracle are all CRAP!!!
I found this and it works AWESOME-
get a spray bottle
put 1 teaspoon of baking soda ( to neutralize the smell) 4 ounce of Lemon Juice ( to kill the bacteria like Ecoli that is formed from pet urine!!!!)
and fill the bottle with water-
AFTER you have patted to what you think is dry- spray the area well, do not saturate but spray a light coat.
After it drys you will not smell a thing and the bacteria is killed.
Use a large bottle, I used a small one and I guess its not enough water and it gave off a funky smell.
Try it- I wish I knew this sooner before spending so much on those sprays.
I found this watching that show 'how dirty is your house' with those two women. Ive learned a lot from them.
