Hi Girls, I'm sorry for this gross ? but I need your help. My doggie has been having stomach problems (no more details needed) for a few days. Last night she pooped in our bedroom (she has NEVER done that). When FH woke up she was Eating it
anyone know if this is normal for dogs to do?
Then when I woke up, she had threw up and it looked like....well....poop
Any ideas?
Someone told me to mix canned pumpkin in with her food to settle her stomach.

I would take her to the vet. Put her on dry food only. She might have a stomach virus.

I've never heard of canned pumpkin, but I would give her white rice and boiled chicken until her stomach settles, and then start mixing her food back in....

I think it is common for dogs to eat their own excrement. It has something to do vitamins. I would not give her any food for the next 12 - 24 hours and don't give her any water until tomorrow morning ( it's 3 on Friday). Give her a very limited amount of water tomorrow morning and see how her tummy is.

My girlfriend gave her dog canned pumpkin for her stomach.... not sure of the exact details.... but I know it helped her puppy out. And I've heard a dog eating their poop is a sign of a clean dog.....they don't leave it just laying there.
