I asked my FH again can we have a videographer. He got quiet then he lays it on me. He tells me that I have to choose between a videographer at the wedding or having a dog once we move into our home. I figured once we had our first kid and mommy talks the lil one into wanting a dog, then hopefully daddy won't be able to look into that cute lil face and say no.... Yes I'm plotting!

I say both. Get the videographer for the wedding and then adopt a dog from the shelter.
I'm not having a videographer at our wedding, but it really sounds like you want one... and, well, I'm a sucker for puppies!

Here's why...he's being sneaky trying to give you an ultimatum.
How can you compare a dog...to a video?
They are both valuable.
Aside from pictures....your video is the only thing you will have left, besides the memories in your heart, to remind you of everything that actually happened that day. Its the documentary of your one special day that you and generations and generations will watch, to see the day that started their family. You NEED the video.
And well...I think everyone needs an animal too. And trust me...when the wedding is all done....if you want a dog sweetie, a dog is what you'll get. I mean..you could even surprise him for a bday or anniversary gift with a dog and a bow...and say its for him(we all know the truth though..ha!) And like you said...once one of the bambinos looks in his eyes, bats them...and says they need a puppy....its over!!!
So have your cake and eat it too!!!

i agree---go with the videographer and then ADOPT one from a shelter!!! i'm a huge proponent of adopting from shelters because i volunteer at a shelter and there are too many animals that get euthanized each day because the animal population far exceeds the amount of homes for these animals. of course it's a personal choice, but please please please don't pay a breeder to breed MORE animals....there are plenty out there that need homes! okay- that's my public service announcecment for the day!!!!!!

i agree. you can always talk him into a puppy later. or just bring one home one day and after he sees how cute it is he'll never want to send it back

me too! I didnt want video and the girls on this site talked me into it along with somethings that have happened. I decided to change my mind b/c I know that in the years down the road there will be people in our families and even friends that may not be around anymore, and to be able to go back and see them at our wedding I know willmake us smile. So I say definitely get video

You are a woman and we know how to plot and use our sex appeal to get what we want. Get your videographer now and as the others have said work on the puppy after the wedding. But wait a few months before starting to ask for the puppy!!!!
