I have been reading the forums for sometime now, but this is my first time posting. This is a great site!
I am getting married in March 2007 at Terrace on the Park. We are having the ceremony and the reception there.
Our little puppy Charlie is our lives! We bring him to work everyday, and we are together all the time. It feels really wierd that he wouldn't be at our wedding, but I've never seen a dog at a wedding held indoors before.
Does anyone know if this is a law? I haven't even brought it up to the hall yet because I don't want to hear no!
I would say probably not seeing as it is a place that serves food, but unfortunaly your best bet is to ask your hall!...you should have had them write it into your contract!

Re: Dogs allowed in catering hall?
He is adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
is there anywhere outside at the restaurant to have your ceremony, if the weather is good? See about that, becuase that should be OK. Then, at least- you run a 50% chance of having him a part of your day!

WOW! Thanks for the quick reply!
We didn't have the dog when we set the date, so now I want to make sure that I have my case prepared when I bring it up.

That's what I would think,too. Doesn't hurt to ask!
He is adorable! Not sure if they are going to allow it and not to be a 'party pooper' (I am OBSESSED with my dog too) but that day is sooooo busy, he may actually be underfoot and you wouldnt want to worry about him even for a moment of your special day.

AWWWW! He is adorable!!!!!!!! I wanted our dog to walk down the aisle with the ring bearer but we didn't have anyone to drive him home afterwards since we got married at our hall. Best of luck!

I am sure it can't hurt to ask - but many establishments, especially food related, animals are limited to service animals.

Re: Dogs allowed in catering hall?
Thanks everyone! I guess I will ask and see what they say... We haven't done too much with the hall yet, so maybe after we get to know them a little better I will ask and see what they say. One of our neighbors that is coming that will probably wind up leaving early has offered to take him home that night.
I know what you mean about him possibly being underfoot , and he would probably find the reception pretty stressful with everyone up and dancing.
I'll let you know how it goes!

I don't think so, but you can call the hall and find out
