Dogs in wedding?

Dogs in wedding?

Ok, this may be a silly question, but I was wondering how many of you have had/plan to have/have been to weddings where there were dogs involved. FH and I have a WONDERFUL Cocker/Clumber spaniel that we are thinking of having in the wedding. He is fairly well behaved, but I am not 100% certain that this is the best idea. I would love a pic with me and FH and the dog on Our Day....what do y'all think...am I nuts?

Oh...this is my baby (he'd get a haircut for the big day!):

I brought my girlfriends dog to her wedding. I put a cute little bow tie on him. Her wedding was on the beach. She insisted on me bringing him but was so busy with everything that she forgot he was even there and payed no attention to him...not because she doesn't love him...it was just so hectic.

Where are you getting married? If you are getting married in a church make sure you check with them first. Some of them don't allow it.

Good luck with your decision!

Joro has pics with her dogs...they're so cute! Do a search for her pics and you'll see.

my fear would be him jumping on you or other people...

and what do you do with him afterwards? who takes care of him...brings him back?

Re: Dogs in wedding?

Are you ready to share the spotlight? Do you have a very good sense of humor -- as in if he decided to pee on your aisle stand, would you laugh? I think this is one of those ideas that sounds better than the reality, and I'm a very big dog lover. I think it would distract from a serious ceremony -- but then again, if you are planning a casual barefoot of the beach sort of wedding it would totally suit the mood...
