This isn't going to help you but I did a reading for my friends wedding and I was so nervous I thought my heart was pounding out of my chest. And I sounded like I was crying because my voice was so shaky. Good luck to you though!!!

Make sure you've read through the reading a few times so you're comfortable with it. Also, remember to smile, even if you're nervous your smiling demeanor will make you come across better.

I was so nervous when I had to do one that I forgot to turn the page and I read the SAME READING THE READER PRIOR TO ME READ! MORTIFYING! But the bride told me that it made her laugh so hard that it calmed her down and made her enjoy the moment (I think she was being nice). Read slow and pick an object at the back of the church to read to (so your head isn't buried in the book). You'll be great.

Ahh.. I just did this recently at my cousins wedding... OMG... I was so nervous too!! The only advice I can give you... try to relax...! Oh yeah and keep your finger on the words as you read because with all the nerves I was feeling, all the words were getting blurry!!!
You will be just fine... A nice glass of wine before you go up will calm your nerves!!

I did a reading for a wedding...but it wasnt so big. I wasnt as nervous as I thought I would be...I was so flatered to be asked and was touched by the reading...btw I am ALWAYS nervous giving public speaches...but something about doing a reading is different...I hope that helps!

This is what i do, and it tends to work! Good Luck, make sure to read it through a few times. Practice reading it infront of your FH, friends or family. When I had to do a teaching presentation in college, I rehearsed it to my fiancee and it made me feel more confident.

oops lol...seriously BEANS BABY.. you will be awesome. just speak slowly...that's usually the biggest mistake people make..is speaking too fast when they are nervous..slow it down
and if all else fails, look at Trish...I am sure she will look BANGIN' lol..a friendly face will help you out

i did a reading for my cousin's wedding and it was the one that had 'resounding gong' in it - and gong is such a funny word and i read it out loud so many times it didnt even make sense any more!
so i read really really fast until i got past that word and then i read the rest at a normal pace - i didnt notice until everyone pointed it out to me though!
i know you are supposed to look up - but i didnt look up once ( i figured i am not getting graded on it so its okay to read from the paper) when i was done i looked up for the first time, smiled, and then like ran away!
