Doing the Invitations

Doing the Invitations

I'm feeling totally overwhelmed by the invitations. I got them on Saturday (they came out great) and need to go out in 2 weeks. Not only is the final guest list not done but I am trying to do them on the printer and it may be a bit harder than I originally thought...I did 2 so far but I still have 125 or so to go, plus inner envelopes. I have to get direction cards to both church and reception place, new 34 cent stamps, weigh the entire envelope, get that postage, number the response cards, stuff them, and still work, finish my holiday shopping, celebrate the holidays and in general, handle the rest of my daily life. My fiance's mother is going into a home because her Alzheimer's has progressed too much to be able to live at home anymore, which has nothing to do with my invitations but I guess that is adding to my stress. On top of it all, my printer needs another cartridge and I don't have the motivation to fight the holiday crowds to get one. I just need to say all this and then get moving on it...Sigh! Thanks for listening.

My wedding reception is at Leonard's next April 28th.

Thanks for the suggesting on the hand cencelling. I had no idea this option existed. I will definitely ask about it. I saw that new 'LOVE' stamps will be out in the $0.34 amount but not until around Jan 20. I need to send them out before that so I may end up with some plainer ones. I think my whole invite might remain at 0.55 I actually was quite successful with my envelopes last night. I printed about 20 so far. We have 2 printers and my fiance likes his and I like mine so I got a new cartridge for mine and did them from there. I'm feeling much more optimistic about the whole process today. What a difference a day makes! Thanks for the advice

P.S. - my envelopes cost .55 to mail.- they offer postage with hearts on it in the amount you need. Just ask for them.

Doing the Invitations

Thanks everyone for your supportive comments. I think I was just totally stressed out this morning. Everyone gave good suggestions and I am definitely taking a step back from getting all crazy over it. I certainly don't want that stressed feeling to become my life for the next 3 months. Anyway, my fiance picked up a printer cartridge this morning so I'm going to give it another shot. Otherwise, I'm on to Plan B. My mother said she will help me stuff them. I also have a habit of wanting to do everything myself so it comes out exactly how I want...OK...how hard it is to stuff the envelopes so I'm laughing at myself here. My MOH is getting married in 20 days so she is in that homestretch (with the holidays thrown in too) but you know, she offered to help anyway! Can you believe? What a sweetie! (Thanks Cin) Thanks again everyone, I really do appreciate being able to work this stuff through here.
I am planning long distance , so that adds to the stress. I'll be in NY for 5 days over the holiday and I have a zillion things to do while I am there . It will all get done though. Good luck !
