I'm trying to plan a trip in november for just the girls and we have a teeny tiny budget. We definitely want to do all inclusive.
Jet blue has flight to DR for $69 each way, so we want to go there....here's the issue
Jet blue flies only to santo domingo or santiago. I hear punt cana is the best, but Santiago is close to puerta plata, and I hear santo domingo is 4 HOURS from Punta cana!
Can anyone recommend all-inclusives in puerta plata that are reputable and good???
Also any travel websites would help, maybe I could find a deal!!!
Thanks!!!

Re: dominican republic help
if you fly into Santo Domingo you can always try hotels in La Romana area, we went there this past April and we loved it... the hotel we stayed at is called Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus but there are other great hotels in that area... if you are in Puerto Plata area def. check out the Iberostar we have been to them twice and both times we have nothing but great things to say about this hotel chain...

I went to punta cana for our HM. It was beautiful. I heard that Puerta plata? (Sp) isnt that great. But it is a long hard drive from the airport. Can you try another airline?

I tried a couple of other airlines, but they are more than double the price!!!
I might look into breezes in puerta plata because superclubs in general have a good reputation. I'll also look into the iberostars.....
We stayed at Gran VEntana and I loved it! That's in Puerto Plata.

Dh and I stayed at the Iberostar Costa Dorada in Puerto Plata last year on our 1 year anniversary. It was very nice my only complaint was beach. It was mediocre, but the price was right $600 pp! Everything else was great! The ride from Santiago was 2 hours.
