So I think I read that some of you girls are using your parents/family members timeshares for your honeymoons, and luckily my parenst are letting us do the same thing! I'm really excited. We get to pick an all-inclusive resort in either the Dominican Republic, Mexico or the Bahamas. Which place would you pick? I'm not sure! I've already been to the Bahamas twice, so I'm kinda leaning towards one of the other 2. What do ya think?

I would go somewhere else since you have already been to the Bahamas.. although it is BEAUTIFUL there! How about Mexico?

I've been to Puerto Plata in DR and i liked it. I stayed around the Playa Dora area. The beaches werent as blue as they were in the Bahamas, but it did rain for a week before i got there. I havn't been to Mexico, but from what i heard its awsome and has more of a party scene. If i was choosing I'de pick Bahamas or Mexico.

out of those three, i would go with DR. Mexico makes me think of montezuma's revenge, and youve already been to the bahamas twice.

the dominican republic!!!! trust me you cannot go wrong, ive been there more then 10 times and i loveeeeeeee it.....you have to go to Punta Cana area, all beach resorts, blue blue clear waer, white sand beaches, all inclusive resorts w/all you can eat and drink 24/7 go on cheapcaribbean.com and you will get great prices, me and FH went out there in june and it was great, booked through that sight and everything went smoothly, we took a direct flight from newark to punta cana, the resorts are about 15-20 minutes drive from the airport......try a 5 star hotel, if you want any questions feel free to FM me, ive gone there almost every summer since i was a baby (my mother was born there)...also look in my albums for my proposal spot, thats a resort in Punta Cana thats great.

Puerto Plata isnt as blue because its the atlantic ocean, if you go to the other side of the island like on Punta Cana its caribbean sean so its clear blue, FH has never been there and he fell in love with the ocean ,he was speechless.

I heard aruba still gets hit with hurricanes...? or maybe im wrong, i read it online that they havnt been hit with many, but theyre still in the path for hurricanes

I vote for the dominican republic...you can go to expedia and tripadvisor to see traveler's opinions on the activities and sights and look at travelzoo.com for flight discounts etc.

DR DR DR!! Go to Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana. I think thats where MISSPINKIES got engaged. My friend went there also and his pics are gorgeous

St. Thomas is amazingly beautiful..it feels like you are staring into a postcard. I literally could just stay there forever!!
Plus, theres A LOT of shopping!!!

thats good! hope you dont get any rain at all if you go there, ive been to the caribbean during hurricanes and tropical storms its the worse. esp when the lights go out lol

I'd say DR but I'm a bit biased that's where we got engaged!!! It was so beautiful there! Mexico & the Bahamas are nice too...but if you have already been so Bahamas try one of the other two!

yay! yes it is=) and its sooooo beautiful, we also got upgraded to the most expensive room there , had private roof deck, outdoor jacuzzi on the deck and oceanview...the people are so nice there, FH says i got the upgrade because im dominican and was flirting at the front desk with the guy, but whateverrrr lol he loved the room

We picked Aruba b/c we will be honeymooning in the middle of hurricane season...I have heard Aruba is always nice...hopefully I am not jinxing myself right now
