Donald Hedgecock Florist

Hello Ladies,
This is my first post on this site and I just want to say that many of your posts have been very helpful to me!
I am getting married in May and recently met with Donald Hedgecock Florist. The price he gave me was very reasonable so I asked him about a contract, deposit etc but he said not to come back until I have the swatch-but that probably won't be until January. I always thought all florists would want you to put down a deposit, sign a contract and then come back later on with the swatch. Now I am hesitant to book with him because I like to have the deposit & contract done in advance (this is with any vendor). Has anyone else dealt with this florist?

Re: Donald Hedgecock Florist

I booked with this florist for my Nov 23 wedding. The prices are reasonable and he seems very easy to work with. We meet with him about 6 months before the wedding date and basically are getting fall color style arrangments. We left a $100 deposit and got a basic contract and will meet with him again about 1 month before to go over specific colors and ideas and to get a sample. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Donald Hedgecock Florist

Donald Hedgecock was the house florist for the Sans Souci where I had my reception. ALthough I had a local florsit do my bouquets and bouts, he provided the table centerpieces. They were gorgeous.... I was very happy with his work, and everyone was grabbing to get the table centerpieces at the end of the night...
