My grandfather passed away in december and we decieded to donate money to the lung cancer association instead of favors. does anyone know how to go about doing this? Do i contact them and then they give me a card or do i have to make up cards to give each person?

Re: Donating money as favors
Each charity is different. We're donating to the Don Monti Memorial Research Foundation. When I contacted them they sent me a sample of the card that I could give to each guest. I decided instead to make scrolls for each guest, and have some cards available if anyone wanted to read further. Contact someone at the charity (I spoke to someone in PR), and they will be able to tell you about what your options are.

We donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and they provided us with a beautiful bookmark.

Re: Donating money as favors
We thought about doing bookmarks, but we decided against it because: - we were recently at a wedding where they did St. Jude bookmarks and everyone left them on the table - our DIYs didn't come out well, and - we couldn't find a reasonably priced vendor.
So, we're combining the donation notice with our DIY table numbers.
We're also doing another favor, probably individual boxes of candy.

You can contact the website of any charity and there are usual directions on how to donate for a wedding and the info about the table cards.
