Hi girls! Can someone fill me in on a way I can set up some type of donation at my wedding. I am not sure how this works?? Please someone explain!!!!!!!

We are doing a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of those near and dear to us who have been afflicted with cancer...
We will donate a certain amount ($X) per person. So for arguments' sake, let's say we were doing $1 per guest and we're having 125 guests. We'd send a donation (check) for $125 to the person in charge of donations at the ACS before the wedding.
You could also do it after the wedding. I know someone on LIW mentioned they have a certain percentage of what they received as gifts to their charity.
So it's up to you. We're sending a check before the wedding and I already printed Donation Cards to let the guests know we made a donation in lieu of the traditional favor.

I did a donation to the Autism Society of America. I just went on their website and bought bracelets for each guest , which served as a donation. I then printed up little cards with autism ribbons explaining the donation and attached the bracelets.

We're doing a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital; we have a day-after-thanksgiving wedding and we're most thankful for all of the healthy babies in our family...
I know if you set up a donation with them they will provide you with scrolls or bookmarks so your guests know you donated.
we're doing a donation to the americna diabetes foundation. the donation will go before the wedding and they give us a table card that will state that we made a donation instead of the traditional favor..

Hey hall twin! We are donating to Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program ( www.adelphi.edu/nysbreastcancer) in living honor of both of our mothers. We will be donating b/w $2-$3 per person & plan on sending them the check once we have our final count. I made the donation scrolls pics are in my wedding details album. HTH

i donated to cancer on their website and made up my own cards and put them on top of the favors
