donation as favor

We made donations to Am. Cancer Society & Am. Diabetes Assoc. Many people told us how much they apprecited that more than a take home favor (not that there is anything wrong with either decision).

Try www.bettywales.com

We went to Stan Wiest and I really liked him (his band) but we went with someone different because we wanted a larger piece band. Our reception location, Flowerfield, highly recommends him.

That is such a wonderful idea! Can you tell me a little more about how you did this? Did the Am. Cancer Society give you acknowledgements to put on the table? This is a great way to remember our loved ones who can't be with us.

Take it from me,I'M NOT DAWN.Her web site is 'makeupforbrides'.I dont blame you for watching out for other peoples interest but I don't want to be confused with her.I'm reliable I promise!!

Thanks again,

You can make a donation through the wesite if you do not need ack. cards. We donated this way because we made our own table cards (we had 2 diff. orgs.)and it was so easy.

If you go to the website you will see the phone number and you can call to ask about the cards. I know they will send them to you.

Did you make individual donations in the name of each guest, or just one lump sum donation?

Hi everybody

Any suggestions on where to go for these things at a decent price?

One lump sum in memory of my granfather (who had diabetes) to the ADA and a general donation to the Cancer society. We know too many people who had or have cancer to mention them all, so we thought a general donation was best.

I looked at Oheka but we ended up booking somewhere else. i did go to a party there a few weeks ago. They will extend the wedding with jazz/cigars, where they have a man hand rolling cigars, with brandys, etc.... The ballroom looked kind of tight to me. They said the max is 180 but i think that might be pushing it.--however, the rest of the areas are pretty big, the drawing room and the bar area outside the ballroom. if you dont have a big dance crowd, people will be able to spread out. The grounds are beautiful. i hope you have a great day. good luck.

Remember none of us know each other on this site, accusing and insulting each other should be the last thing we should be doing. What does this have to do w/ wedding planning?
