FH and I have finally decided to do donations to a few causes that mean a lot to us and a small (probably edible) favor.
Where did you guys who are doing this as well get the sayings to let people know about the donation?

im doing a donation and edible favor as well. im going to just make a few signs and put them in small picture frames for each table. maybe like 2-3 at each table? the edible favor i think im going to just do m&m's in my colors in tins with a personalized sticker...????

I was thinking about putting the sayings on bookmarks so you actually get a favor and every time they use the bookmark it will remind them of the wedding and the donation. Just an idea

Good idea. I acutally found this one that someone posted a while ago. I think I'll just make little signs to match the menu and put one at each place setting.

I'm also thinking of something like this as the edible favor: (it's jordan almonds)
i wrote my own poem - we gave a symbolic favor with it as well so it explained our donation and teh favor

We scrolled our sayings up, we put hershey kisses in the box:

American Cancer Society (who we donated too) gives you SO many options for sayings and ways to display at your wedding.

I saw a favor from a weddinf that FMIL went to that donated to breast cancer and they put a place card at each setting saying who they donated to with a breast cancer pin on it. I thought it was really nice

we did this for our wedding. i didnt' worry about making it 'cutesy' or anything, i just kind of worded it how i thought was good... it was something like
' To honor our loved ones affected by cancer, a donation has been made to the Lance Armstrong cancer fund' and it had our names and the date on it. we gave them a little tin of mints and a yellow livestrong bracelet, too. good luck!!

We donated to the American Diabetes Association. With a donation you can either get pre-printed scrolls, table tents or bookmarks. We got scrolls saying the following:
To Our Friends and Family,
In lieu of a traditional wedding favor, we have made a donation to the American Diabetes Association in your honor and in loving memory of BRIDE'S DAD in honor of GROOM'S DAD, and for all those affected by diabetes.
We feel the greatest gift is one that can help others.
Thank you for sharing in our special day!

They didn't come rolled so last weekend we rolled 100 scrolls and tied them w/ red ribbon!

just plan on printing a note and tying it to a flower (ordering in bulk from costco) for each guest.
