FH and I are planning on doing a donation to one of the major breast cancer foundations as part of our favors. My aunt passed away from breast cancer ten years ago and it's very important to me to honor her in this way. Anyways, does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about doing this? Also, I'm not sure whether to go with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Avon, or one of the others. If anyone has had any experiences with this some advice would be great. TIA

check out the charity rating websites..make sure the one you choose is using their donations for actual research, etc. and not spending most of their money on direct mail and paying staff, etc.

We also did donation scrolls as favors. My Mom passed away from Breast Cancer in 2003 so we thought it would be the best idea. Our donations scrolls were made by Hospice and they did an awesome job. I highly recommend donation favor and the guests really thought it was a nice idea and I think it means even more to the bride and groom!!!
