Donation Favors

Hi Girls,

I am pretty sure I am going to do a donation for a favor bc I really can't think of a better idea. And we would give it to the shelter where we got our pup.

How did you present the donation? Should I do one framed per table or something per plate. I kind of feel like doing one per plate is a waste and doesn't look as nice, but I am open to opinions.

You could have a picture of your puppy in a frame on your escort card table with an explanation of what you donated and the cause - then everyone gets to see it before they sit, you don't have to do anything for the tables or individual seats, and you get to see your puppy at the wedding

oh that's a good idea. my dog will actually be in the wedding so he will be there too hahah. is the escort table where the seat cards are... so clueless

yep! maybe by the time we get married I'll get my bulldog and he can come to our wedding...ooohhh I'd be so happy lol

My sister did donation favors and they had little cards with a saying on it and who's behalf the donation was made on and each card had a color ribbon pin for each cause.

I just figured if I had a dog, I'd want an excuse to put his picture up lol....I really can't wait to find a house so FH will give in on my doggy demands

We are donating to the World Wildlife Foundation and they said they would give us pins. So we are going to print up little cards and put a pin on each card.

We were able to finally agree on a favor and WWF won out cause when Happy Feet came out, I declared I wanted a penguin. For Valentines day that year, not only did he 'adopt' a penguin for me, he adopted a WHOLE FAMILY!!!!! I got a Giant penguin and a small one as well. We have been donating to them ever since. It makes a great present for any animal lover, and since we both are we figured it definitely defined us as people.

Good for you for choosing to donate as your favor! I wish more people would do that. We chose to place our donation information in the photobooth frames that we placed at each couple's plate. This is what we wrote:

I am doing a donation to the Michael J Fox Foundation. They provided cards to put at the tables.

So glad people are doing this also. It just seemed like a waste to give favors that people may or may not enjoy and use. and FH didn't want food cause we have some diabetics and all coming.

We are also doing a donation favor. I want it to be in memory of my father who died when I was 17, so I am doing a donation to The National Kidney Foundation. I'm going to get little gold boxes of candies and make a little card to attach that says what the donation was made to. That on top of having the photo booth, and I might want a candy bar I think is plenty. You can simply put up a sign at the sign in book or just put one paper per table that people can read at dinner. My cousin did a donation favor and put on at each persons place setting and it was too much I think and I saw them all get thrown out at the end of the night and after all that work she did I'd be annoyed lol

We are thinking of doing St. Jude and the ASPCA as donations, we both love kids and of course animals. This is such a great way to begin our lives together by doing something like this.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing..may I ask what shelter you got your puppy from? I'm not sure how this works tho..does anyone know how much money you would have to donate?
