I've decided to make a donation instead of favors at my wedding to a foundation that supports diabetes and pancreas transplant research in honor of my uncle who passed last week. I'm not sure how I want to present it though. My thoughts now are either small glass bottles with a scroll in them, or a small card attached to starfish and seahorse chocolates. What do you think?
This will be my centerpiece (but with orange daisies):
This is the kind of candy mold I would use:
Either one would be placed on the table around the centerpiece.

Re: Donation Favor...w/ poll
We're doing a donation--to a breast cancer charity in honor of my FH's mother who died this past Thanksgiving--in lieu of a favor, but we're not putting anything on the tables. We figure, why spend the money on the scroll or anything else, when we could donate that money too? Is it about making the table look good, or about the donation? We're mentioning the donation in the program and that's it.
As an aside, as someone with chronic pancreatitis, I'd like to say thanks for choosing that charity!

You're welcome!
I don't think I'm going to do programs, and I don't want to put a frame onto the table to explain the donation, so I'm not sure how to tell people. If I do candy I'll make it myself and they would probably come to less than a dollar each.

Re: Donation Favor...w/ poll
I think theyre all really cute ideas if you dont mind spending the money on it. when my sister did a donation to american brain tumor foundation in leiu of favors, she had something written up and framed and put on one of the entrance tables near a picture of my dad (who passed from brain cancer) and ppl read it as they came in.
