Donations as favors

What did you give your guests to let them know what charity you made a donation to? Does anyone have a sample?

I have a template that is still 'under construction' It will be a small scroll stating 'In lieu of a favor, Keith and I' and his will say 'In lieu of a favor, Amy and I' as we are doing separate charities. Im hoping this works, I havent tried it yet, but Im hoping instead of ribbon to keep the scroll closed, it will be the charities pin.

In honor of our guests, a donation has been made to teh American Cancer SOciety.

I bought a paper punch, vellum and metallic cardstock. I printed the saying on the vellum and punched it out, punched out the cardstock and with black ribbon, I am tying the two cards off the handle of a chinese food pail...

Ours are going to be different for every other person plus a small favor I think:

In loving memory of our Aunt Lillian *$LKD9
a donation has been made to the American Cancer Soceity.
and because of his service to the USMC......

In honor of our fallen men and women a donation has been made to the United States Marine Corp benevolent Association.

What type of candy were you thinking of giving? We are thinking about giving a donation also but we weren't planning on giving candy.....do you think that we should?

I read this somewhere and I LOVE it, bags of Hugs and Kisses Hershey Kisses in an organza bag with a note, 'Hugs and Kisses from the new Mr. & Mrs.'

I do not have a sample with me but if you go onto ebay and search for the seller 'artistically-yours', she has donation scrolls that I purchased. The color of the scrolls are a purple/gray color and they are very nice. I used the wedding bands clip art.

You could probably do them on your own with a laser printer, some clip art and some paper bought at Staples, too.
