Donations - Charities

After a year of such abundance, DH and I would like to include donations in our holiday gift giving. We donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation for our wedding favor and would like to find another special charity to donate to. Any suggestions?

find a small charity and donate to the Karina disaster

Doctors Without Borders and NY Cares are two amazing charities and my favorites

The American Cancer Society has a camp called Camp Adventure for kids with cancer. It's really great, I worked there and it's so amazing to see the kids faces and watch them just be kids for a week in the summer. Just an idea There's also Breast Cancer Research.

We donated to Lance Armstrong Foundation and the Brain Aneurysm Foundation for our wedding. Some other thoughts we had:

any pediatric AIDS foundation
Harry Chapin Food Bank
Huntington's Disease Society

i always make my donations to animal charities. of course i have nothing against donating to human causes, but i always feel like the animals are neglected when it comes to receiving charity.
