donations favors

this is prob a FM kinda question . . but how much is a decent donation? in your opinion or what you gave .. fm are welcome . . just trying to see if im in the correct price range ..
we are absoluting donating to make a wish since when fh's brother was sick they gave him a lap top computer .. so they are very near and dear to our hearts . . . of course its my own opinion what i should give but just wonder so if any one could throw some numbers out there =)=)

we were low on funds so we gave about $2-3 per guest

you should give whatever you'd want to spend on a 'normal' favor
