Donations givers: Are you including anything else?....
Candy? Candle? Liquor?? Anything????
Or just the Donation itself. I know its a great thing and all but I do feel bad still not giving guests a teeny tiny something to take w/ them?

I feel the same way - I don't know why. If we do a donation I'm either doing teh cnadle place card holders also or a little thing of the almonds - just a little somethin.

I am doing a donation but also feel I want the guests to take away a 'little' something. I am having a fall wedding, so I might do candycorns wrapped in some tule with ribbon, or maybe rock candy swizzle sticks with a bow (I LOVE rock candy). Also, I am planning on making my place card settings something they can take home and keep.

We thought about doing a donation for favors. Not sure if we're still going with that idea but if we do, we're giving little boxes of Godiva chocolate in addition.
HTH!!

We are doing a donation to the American Diabetes assoc. so giving food or liquor with it wouldn't be appropriate.
You could give scratchoffs.

We donated and gave out little cards that said we were donating and attached was a ribbon with our names and date on it.
I honestly didn't feel bad that people didn't take anything home with them other than that. If we attached chocolates or something like that then we felt we were defeating the purpose of the donation instead of favors.

We just did donations. We thought about adding something 'extra' but realized we could just donate that extra amount to the place we were donating to ... as it was we donated a lot of $$$ and we had MIL's company match the gift so we felt in our hearts we did the right thing.

We're making a donation, but the escort card holders are little wine glass candles, so I suppose that could count as a 'little something' extra. Although I did not plan it that way. I think the donation on it's own is enough.

We're just doing the donation. IMO, giving a 'favor' along with the donation defeats the purpose. If you have extra money, put it into the donation.

I am doing a donation and having my FMI make these cookies she made once- shaped like a wedding cake- they were cute
Please she hasn't done anything yet- so I thought making 200 cookies would be a fair trade off

We did a donation to two places--American Cancer Society (told them not to make me scrolls) and the Lance Armstrong Foundation (seems appropriate). From the LAF, we ordered the yellow bracelets, which went over a LOT better than I thought they would (since the fad is kind of 'over.')
