My MOH told me she wants to take me to the Donkey Show for my Bachelorette party. I have heard some good things about it, but I am hesitant to tell her that it’s what I want to do. I did want to go out dancing and drinking, but honestly, is the Donkey Show corny? If so, I don’t know if I would want to do it…

It's a bit corny but it's fun! Go to an early show - 8 p.m. and then go out dancing afterwards!

I've seen it. I don't really understand how it became a bachelorette party place but there was one there the night I went. It's pretty much one of those audience participation type shows, you are in a club in the '70s. There are actors who are playing club owners/customers/etc who put on this drama with allot of dancing and singing. They are scantily clad and try to get you on the dance floor with them & may even talk to you. It's fun, the music is great '70s music/disco & you can visit the bar the whole time. I guess it got popular for bachelorette parties because you can dance & drink the whole time and the story line is a little risque (and the cast is not wearing much). Hope that helps!

Re: Donkey Show - recommended?
We took one of my friends there for her BP a few years ago & then we went out afterwards. I thought it was fun and very creative b/c it is the story of Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' set in the 70's so if you know that play, I think you can appreciate it a little more. It evolved into a bachelorette party place because it's a fun alternative to a strip club I guess. I recommend it!
